Fergus the milk theif

Well sadly no picture of this..but funny story.
This morning, I made breakfast for myself and poured a glass of milk to go with it.. I put the glass of milk down on the end table and went back to the kitchen to butter my toast.
Well I would have expected this behavior from our cat Z80 but not the dog.
So I turned around to head back to sit down, and what do I see.. Fergus with his tongue in my glass of milk..the little bugger stole my milk.

teaches me a lesson..don't leave anything unattended around the dog or the cat.

Fergus is Neutered

On April 1st 2013, Fergus went in for his neutering..I was a mess all day while we waited to go pick him up. 
When we got him home, he was groggy and not quite himself.. the vet told us that he wouldn't need a cone, if he tries to lick or bite at the incision to put a pair of boxer shorts on him.. well he starting messing with the area, so I quickly grabbed a pair of boxer shorts and put them on him..... while that was fine for about an hour.. my smart puppy figured out how to get these things off.
So off to the pet store Stuart went to buy a cone, I felt so bad for Fergus having to wear the cone..but he just wouldn't leave his incision alone. I posted some pictures of Fergus on Facebook with his cone on and someone suggested to get a pair of little boys briefs and put his tail through the front hole.. what a great idea..why didn't I think of this :) 
We went off to walmart and i picked up a pack of Batman Underwear... singing all the way to the check out line..dannanannaaanana BATMAN!!! oh and to the car..
So its official I am a crazy dog owner...
I called the vet to ask how long to keep Fergus from licking, playing, jumping etc..and they tell me the full two weeks, my very shocked question-"DO YOU HAVE ANY DRUGS FOR THAT?"
how in the world do they expect a 6 month old puppy, let alone a wheaten not to jump or play or run.. omg and the fact that our back yard is a muddy mess with all this rain..no baths for 2 weeks..OMG I have a very bored, very smelly and very dirty dog on my hands..cant wait for these two weeks to be up..hurry up Saturday and get here..:)

Fergus the snow dog

For some time Fergus has been waiting for Stuart at the door, and I finally got a video of it. It is so cute yet funny, seeing as Fergus makes Stuart drop everything out of his hands to pet him..

Chicken Guy Dies and is Replaced

Stuart and Fergus play every night with this god awful sounding rubber chicken, and Fergus ended up breaking it, so we had to go out and buy another one..This is a short video of Stuart giving Fergus his new chicken guy

Fergus is one smart pup!

For a 15 week old puppy, he is very smart and learning very quickly.. I was very surprised at how well he listens and tries hard to do what is asked of him.

Fergus gets Bell Trained

We decided to bell train Fergus , since he doesnt bark or whine when he is at the door he just sits there and waits.. and so to avoid any accidents we got him some monkey bells :)

in less than 24hrs he was trained.. We are so proud of him!!!

March with Fergus

March with Fergus was a blast, we spent a lot of time at the dog park; he is getting so big and is very smart.

He loves his car rides and his walks, I have never seen as dog as happy and willing to please as Fergus is.

We got to celebrate St.Patty's Day with him, seeing as he is a Irish breed, we got him a cool clover bandanna and he got some Irish cheese, we made the whole day about him.

we had a lot of snow and snow days with Fergus and he helped with shoveling the drive way :)

We had some picture opportunities for a friend with Hats.

He also got really muddy a lot this month, and of course lots of trips to the pet store to meet new friends.

He loves the attention and he loves to cuddle and kiss.. he has easily become my 2nd love of my life and I cant imaging my life with out it.. I still can't believe that we have had his for almost 4 months now.. how time fly's when your having fun.

Fergus first day home 10 weeks old

February With Fergus

February was a fun month with Fergus..
He was still in training every Saturday which he enjoyed and responded really well to, Fergus can now, sit, stay, come, lay down, settle and roll over on command... so proud of our dog, he learns so quickly and enjoys every minute of it :) I think he loves the treats :)

We also had some new events with him, we started taking him to the leash free dog park, I can't believe how well behaved all the dogs are, and Fergus really enjoys all the room. This dog park is awesome, fully fenced in, with a double gate to get in so that dogs can't run off.. It is so nice to have some where safe to bring him to run around and burn off some of his energy :)
He has made many new friends and enjoys our weekend trips to the park :) 

We also spent some time at Stuart's Aunt Mary's where Finnegan is and Nova visits, which really helped when we had lots of snow, as the dogs would go out back and just run and play with each other.. can't wait for winter to be over :)

We took Fergus for an orientation session for a dog sitter, lots of land, fully fenced built to with stand anything the biggest dog can throw at it.. awesome place and the staff are really friendly, will definitely be putting Fergus there when we need a sitter. 

As it was valentines day we dressed him up in a very cute bandanna :) 



Fergus Graduated Puppy Applause 2 course :) we are so proud to have a well behaved smart dog on our hands, it is so much easier when he listens :)
The weekend Fergus graduated we took a trip up to Sudbury for him to meet my dad, grandparents and my dad's dogs Sparky and Sadie..he had a blast, but it was cold and they had so much snow :(  but he enjoyed himself and we got a visit in, he slept the whole way there and the whole way back 4 hours each way..what a good boy :)
