Fergus is our first dog, and we both under estimated how much work it is to have a puppy. The first night home and the first 2 weeks were crazy, we had trouble getting him crate trained and he would cry and bark all night long, which made us sleep deprived and very cranky.
We met some very nice people at the pet store who suggested a local training center that offered a "puppy love party" for free..so we registered and went to that, got some very useful advice and followed the recommendations and signed up for the next training course, everything they were saying to do, we did and bought and things just started working.
We were finally getting sleep, Fergus was responding well to training and we were becoming very happy and relaxed dog owners.
The cat doesn't like Fergus but we are working on that.

True happiness is the unconditional love a pet can give you..its a great feeling.
