It all started with one simple question.....

am going to start at the beginning, it was Nov 29th 2012 and my husband Stuart comes into my office and asks, "if you can only have one thing for Christmas, what would it be?" I didn't answer him at first because I was seriously thinking about that question, there are so many things to just pick one, that's not easy..So I thought for a minute or two, and suddenly he pipes up again.."you want a wheaten, don't you?" well what can I say I had been asking for one for a few years, do I say no, or do I say yes, well in my neglect to think things through a little further.. I agreed, Stuart then tells me to look for a breeder, so off I went searching for a breeder and not even an hour later, found one who has 10 week old puppies ready to go.. OMG.. here I am freaking out, we are about to get a dog.. wow..

So we call Stuart's Aunt Mary and ask her some much needed questions about things we should be looking for in a breeder, warning signs etc.. Next we schedule an appointment with the breeder to go see the dogs, holy mother..she says tomorrow Nov 30th, OMG in not even 24 hours after we talked about getting a dog, we are going to see a dog.. HOLY FREAK OUT!!!!!

Well November 30th came and my husband left work early to get here, and low and behold SNOW STORM!!!! so we are running late..go figure, so we get to the breeders house and she has two boys left, one lighter colored chubby one, who seemed to be obsessed with chewing feet, even though I thought he was cute Stuart was looking at me like..a chewer really??

The other one, was much darker, black face, small and very shy.. with a purple collar..well that did it for me purple collar, it must be fate...I picked the little guy up and he started kissing my face....Instant love!!!!!
We signed all the paper work, handed over the money and took the little guy with us...again 24hrs after we decided to get a dog, we are now owners are a little soft coated wheaten terrier...
We put the little guy in the back seat with a blanket and me, and decide to go to my Uncle Joe's house to say Hi and introduce our now nameless puppy...and on our way there, not even two blocks from the breeders, dude takes a poop in my car :( OH GAWD!!! got to my uncle and asked for a bag and paper towels etc..got the car and the pup cleaned up, visited for awhile and headed to Stuart's Aunt Mary's house..

Our little guy was greeted by two of the family wheaten's, Nova belle and Finnegan ..Nova at the time was only 8 months old and Finnegan is 5..needless to say Nova was no to happy about another baby in the house and Finnegan just sniffed him and looked at his parents like.."not another baby.."  After talking for a bit and going through some names, thanks to Stuart's Uncle Ross, we got a name for him.. Fergus ..so fitting, It's Irish/Scottish we got married in Fergus and the little pup was born in Fergus..Fergus it is...

This was the start of our new life..

Keep those tails a'waggin!!
